Who is HIF’s Summer Alpine Adventure for?

Our Summer Alpine Adventure is for you if you’re a fun-loving, adventure-seeking 10-16-year-old who adores the outdoors! If you’re looking to have a fun, productive Summer break, you’ll have the time of your life here, exploring the Alps, gaining skills, and going on adventures with new friends.

What will you do at HIF summer camp?

Morning Activities

After a tasty breakfast with your fellow campers, we’ll give your language skills a workout (English, German, or Mandarin) in an interactive session led by experienced and passionate educators.

Afternoon Adventures

In the early afternoon, it’s time for a wholesome and hearty lunch in our family-style dining hall – and it’s your chance to fuel up before the adventures begin! Every afternoon is different, featuring fun activities such as bouldering, rafting, riding, or Via Ferrata. Or you might find yourself on a cultural visit, exploring a glacier or sailing at Lake St Moritz!

Evening Explorations / Chill Out

Evenings at HIF are for taking a break after a full-on day. Activities such as robotics, creative art, or photography help build new skills. There’s also plenty of time to chill with friends in our comfortable leisure spaces, like our games room.

A typical day at Summer Camp

We pack in new adventures every day at HIF’s Summer Alpine Adventure camp!

Exceptional Experiences

At HIF, learning goes beyond the classroom walls and out into the beautiful mountains. Our goal is to make every day a meaningful learning experience, helping you build confidence, curiosity, and life skills that last long after camp. Through a combination of academic learning, outdoor adventures, and cultural exploration, you will develop practical skills such as time management, communication, and problem-solving – all great preparation for future endeavours.

Excellent Facilities, Fantastic Views

You’ll stay in our safe and homely boarding house with panoramic alpine views. Campers share bright, modern double rooms, each with an ensuite, and enjoy three freshly cooked meals per day. You can hang out and chill out with new international friends in the evenings, in the shared lounges, or head to the auditorium to play billiards or table tennis. A grand piano is available for musical students, and you can also access our sports and fitness facilities.

You’ll be in the capable hands of our experienced boarding staff, who are experts at helping students feel at home and extending HIF’s wellbeing focus as a school to our campers. Each staff member is also first aid trained, and the hospital is just 10 minutes away.

My roommate and I got along extremely well — she’s from Dubai, and I’m from China — and we still stay in touch today. I am truly grateful to HIF and all the teachers for providing such a rewarding and unforgettable summer.
